Event FAQs
When and where is the wedding?
Our wedding will take place at 3:30 PM on 1 September 2027 at Herdade do Freixo in Évora, approximately 90 minutes from Lisbon.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless otherwise noted on your invitation.
Will transportation be provided to the venue?
Shuttles will take guests from Octant Évora to Herdade do Freixo before the wedding and bring everyone back to Octant Évora afterward.
Do I need to stay at Octant Évora?
No. You're welcome to stay anywhere. However, complimentary wedding-day transportation is reserved for guests staying at Octant Évora.
Do you have a registry?
Yes. In lieu of a traditional registry, we've chosen to accept contributions toward our European honeymoon. Thank you for your generosity.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there will be parking available at the venue. More details will be added closer to the date.
Portugal Travel FAQs
Q: Do I need a visa to travel to Portugal?
A: Most visitors from the US and many other countries do not need a visa for short tourist stays. Please check your country’s current entry requirements.
Q: Which airport should I fly into?
A: We recommend flying into Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS), which is the closest major airport to the wedding venue.
Q: How should I get from the airport to my hotel?
A: Taxis, rideshares, and airport shuttles are available from LIS. You can also use the metro or train depending on where you’re staying.
Q: What currency is used in Portugal?
A: Portugal uses the Euro (€). Many places accept credit cards, but it’s helpful to have some cash for small shops and cafes.
Q: What language is spoken in Portugal?
A: Portuguese is the official language, but English is widely spoken in most tourist areas.
Q: Is Portugal safe for travelers?
A: Portugal is generally very safe. As with any trip, keep an eye on your belongings and follow normal travel precautions.
